Code of Conduct
To join the Coffee Corner ☕️ please read our Code of Conduct in its entirety.
This document is designed to give you an understanding of what is and isn't permitted in the community, and to make it a mature space. For most people, these rules should be easy to conform to as they reflect acceptable behaviours you might observe in family, social and workplace settings.
Please check back from time to time, as we will review and update the policies as appropriate to reflect feedback received from the community and the moderator team.
Introduction
- The main objective of the community is to provide a mature space for furries who value hanging out with people that have a mature mindset and outlook. For this reason, the community is restricted to people that are 25 or older.
- Whilst the general expectation is that people are 25 years or older, younger people can be allowed in the community if they are chaperoned by an established member, with approval of a moderator; these younger members will be held to the same standards as the rest of the group.
- In cases where someone has been granted access through the chaperone system, the chaperone may also be held accountable for the user's behaviour in moderation decisions.
- The absolute minimum age-requirement will at all times be the age of majority in Europe (18).
- You should try to minimise the chances of conflict by being open minded and accepting of others. Understand that we each have a unique set of values, and we are all entitled to our own opinions.
- We're an English speaking community, but welcome all nationalities. If you find yourself speaking primarily in a different language in the community, please continue the conversation in DM.
- We are all adults with at least some degree of interest in sexual content; as such both IRL nudity and furry porn is allowed.
Acceptable Content
- It is not permitted to share content that breaks the Discord/Telegram Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or would otherwise be illegal to distribute in the UK or EU;
- Posting of links (URLs) to offensive material, sites hosting malware, initiating downloads, or promoting illegal activities is not permitted.
- Offensive, rude, disruptive, and unwanted behaviour will be dealt with harshly:
- Included under this rule is the act of kinkshaming - if you don't like the porn someone posts, you are to ignore it;
- Behaviour that can reasonably be perceived to express hate, animosity, or be considered discriminatory;
- Behaviour of discriminatory nature towards groups or individuals based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, race, or ethnicity;
- Behaviour that unwantedly, non-consensually, or unsolicitedly harasses members of our community either in the group itself or via DM;
- Any member found to have involvement, including historic, with extremist or radicalised ideologies or movements will immediately be permanently banned from the group without warning. Our group shall have no association with such ideologies or movements via its membership or otherwise. These ideologies and movements are emphatically and inherently incompatible with the goals and purpose of this group, and therefore, our Code of Conduct.
- Soliciting or advertising is not allowed unless explicit permission has been granted by the moderator team;
- 'Shitposts' are not permitted;
- Flooding the chat is not permitted;
- Roleplaying in the chat is not permitted;
- This includes continually pretending to be in character;
- Describing actions in a roleplay style for the purpose of emoting is permitted as long as this does not become disruptive.
- Memes are permitted as long as they're kept to a minimum and do not disrupt the chat.
Ownership of Content
- Any IRL content you post has to adhere to the following strict guidelines:
- It contains yourself;
- And you have permission to post from everyone in the picture;
- Or it is from a publicly available source, and the source is included.
- Any furry art you post has to adhere to the following strict guidelines:
- You are the character owner;
- Or you are the artist;
- Or you have permission from the character owner;
- Or you provide the source to the art.
- Any avatar used has to adhere to the following strict guidelines:
- You are the character owner;
- Or you have permission from the character owner.
- We reserve the right to ask for evidence of the above when we are in doubt.
Moderation
- Whilst intent is taken into account, we moderate behaviour;
- Moderator action beyond the scope of these rules will be decided on a case by case basis;
- Every moderator speaks for the whole team, whilst there are checks and balances internally, regarding the community we take collective responsibility as a team;
- Any moderator decision is final; do not argue with the moderators.
Chaperones
We utilise an age-gate on our community to achieve our main goal of having a mature space for furries who value hanging out with people that have a mature mindset and outlook. However we do acknowledge that age is not necessarily analogous to maturity. Therefore, we have made provisions that allow people younger than 25 (but always older than 18) to join our community as well. We call this our chaperone system.
Henceforth we will use the term user to refer to the person younger than 25 that wants to join, and the term chaperone to refer to the established member in good standing that vouches for this user.
Established Member in Good Standing
- An established member in good standing should be understood to mean the following:
- The member has been an active participant in the community;
- The member has not been the subject of any significant moderation decisions; the severity and frequency of the infraction(s) will be a consideration for this purpose.
Joining
- A user can only be chaperoned by an established member in good standing;
- The chaperone will petition the moderator team on behalf of the user;
- The moderator team will consider the petition and decide whether the user shall be invited;
- If the chaperone is given permission by the moderator team, the user is now permitted to join the community.
Shared Responsibility
- As a chaperone you are responsible for the users that joined under your petition until they reach the age of 25;
- If one of those users breaks our Code of Conduct, the chaperone may be held accountable for their conduct.
Loss of Chaperone
- In the case that a user's chaperone leaves our community, either by moderation or by choice, and the user has not yet reached the age of 25;
- The moderator team will review the situation and determine whether or not at this point the user has become an established member in good standing;
- Should the user be determined to be an established member in good standing, they can remain without a chaperone.
To participate in our community it is required to have read and accept the Code of Conduct set out above.
